Valley Park
A large play park just off the Main Street. A set of swings separate the areas for younger and older children. The play equipment for small children includes a train, round about and climbing frame with slide. The older children's area includes a seasaw, larger climbing frame and climbing net. There are also benches along side the main path for parents and carers to enjoy! |

MADDISTON TO BLACKBRAES
The route starts beside the Fire Station Headquarters on the new paths towards California. For a shorter walk you can take a right at the signpost towards Rumford, this crosses California road and comes out at the end of Bellevue Terrace and then back towards the Fire Station. There is a circular 10km walk up to California and towards Shieldhill and down by Braes High and back up through Brightons. |
MADDISTON (BUS STANCE) TO DRUMBOWIE PARK (STANDBURN)
This walk begins behind the bus stance and heads up passed the golf course along the old Coach Road towards Standburn. For a shorter route, turn left at the top of the coach road and follow the path back down to Bowhouse roundabout then back into Maddiston. This is a 5.7km circular route |

HIGH ROAD CIRCULAR
The High Road begins at the top of Cairneymount Avenue near the top end of Maddiston. The walk takes you along the outskirts of the village towards the canal. There are several walking routes from this one starting point. Short walk: At the end of the High Road, turn right onto the road. This brings you out at the Muiravonside kennels, then head back towards Maddiston through the Loan. This walk involves crossing the A801 at Bowhouse roundabout. Long Walk: At the end of the High Road, keep straight on along Almond Road where you can get down onto the canal or a path that brings you past the canal and back behind the loan on the old railway line. This walk can be very muddy at times. This route also has a right of way through the fields to get to Muiravonside Country Park although it's not suitable for buggies. |

The clubhouse has a kitchen area, main hall and licenced bar. It's available to hire for members and non-members.
The bar is also open Wednesday: 7pm to Midnight Friday: 12pm to 11pm Saturday: 11am to 8.45pm Sunday: 12pm to 9.45pm Dominoes tournament from 4pm each Sunday, all welcome. |

The community centre is owned by Falkirk Council. It has 4 main areas which include a cafe area, sports hall, IT suite and meeting room.
The hall can be hired by groups or for private parties. |
The school hall and dining area is available to let during term time.

Maddiston Old Folks Hall

The Old Folks Hall has a kitchen and main hall area.
They run Bingo twice a week It's available to hire for groups and parties. |
Welfare Football Ground

The Welfare football pitch is only full sized playing field in the community. It's open to everyone to use and frequently host home games played by the local football team, Maddiston AFC.
The pitch has recently undergone improvements to help with drainage problems. |
Situated just outside the village, a beautiful country park which boasts a children's farm, play area, visitor centre, the steadings cafe, community orchard and poetry trail.
It has a great number of walks though the park and along the river Avon. You can support the park by becoming a "Friend of the Farm" and sponsor an animal or take advantage of one of the many events held in the park though out the year. Details of up and coming events can be found on the Community Trust website. The visitor centre is available for community let. |

The growing area has 34 ground plots available to rent by individuals, groups or clubs. |

The Evangelical Church is located on California Road.
There are a number of services though out the week as well a parent & toddler meeting on a Monday. |
Muiravonside Parish Church is linked with Blackbraes and Shieldhill Parish Church, with a locum minister, Rev Philip Hacking serving both areas.
Weekly service is held on Sundays at 11.30am. The church is available for weddings, funerals and baptisms. |
